the struggle between “i’m too lazy to shave my legs plus it’s a nice fuck you to gender expectations” and “i want legs as smooth as baby dolphins” is so real
we went in the darkroom today and looked around and i was like “wow this is brighter than my future” and my photography teacher laughed so hard he almost cracked his head on the enlarger

Note for men:
• I shave my legs for myself so when I am sleeping naked in bed, they feel smooth against each other: not for you.
• I wear make-up because it enhances my features and gives me a confidence boost: not for you.
• I wear tight jeans, crop tops, skirts and bikinis because I feel good when I pass my reflection: not for you.
• I cut my hair this way because I am unique and I think it looks awesome: not for you.
None of what I do to my body is ever for you. It is for me and my confident self.
Maybe not confident but I don’t do it for anyone except myself.
It’s super hot in my room, but my head and heart feel cold.
I miss heartbeats, I miss sighs, I miss tracing lazy patterns across skin, I miss yanking the covers around intertwined legs to keep warm, I miss when a bed didn’t feel lonely.
